Words from the Chair

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Once again I can hear you all groaning that the newsletter is late AGAIN!! I can only apologise AGAIN…. It was Christmas and I’ve been enjoying myself too much, not having to go to work for a few days. Anyway, as the saying goes “better late than never”

The Christmas social tour around Winchcombe seemed to please everyone who attended. I have to say it was nice to see so many. The taxis were a bit late and there were a few who felt the cold that night but I’m afraid when you’re relying on taxi’s it is out of our control.

The next social event will be in Malvern on Friday 18th January. We have been challenged/invited to Malvern bike club for a game of skittles. We have played them before and they are a friendly bunch. It’s January, there’s not an awful lot going on so why not let me know if you want to attend. There will be a minibus/taxi’s provided from Tewkesbury (there is a familiar sound to this, we seem to spoiling you all with this transport.. Treasurer) Please let me know if you want to go, we need to know numbers before we can book the transport, no information, no transport!!!!!

I’ve been reliably informed that Easter is early this year in March so lets hope the weather is kind. It’s supposed to be getting lighter now, can’t say that I’ve really noticed but hopefully it won’t be long now before we can get out on the bikes again and have some fun…..

Will see you all soon, don’t forget to let me know if you want to go to Malvern. If you are out on your bike, stay safe

Willem
